Please download and/or print out the following worksheet to track your culprits throughout the assessment.

Your body moves in three planes of motion. If one of your joints has limitations in any of these planes you may have pain and instability in another area of your body. This can lead to deficits in your golf swing. For example, your hips may not be performing well in the transverse plane. This can lead to pain in your back at the end of your back swing. You may have no symptoms in your hips at all but they are the cause of your back pain, it’s not your back. Treating your back won’t fix the pain but restoring hip function in the transverse plane will!

Forward and backward

Side-to-side

Rotation or turning
Every movement you make creates a chain reaction throughout your body. This happens from the ground up when you are upright. Everything is truly connected to everything else. Through this assessment, you will discover if you have limitations in any of these 3 planes of motion. Resolving those underlying culprits may just be what’s causing pain, limitations, and stiffness in other parts of your body that are inadvertently preventing you from swinging with power, accuracy, and consistency. Train your body to restore the culprits and then any technique training will soar to new heights!
